I have something against gloves, I really do. I like them and own a few pairs of them but never use them. I don't know why. I could be getting frostbite and I still wouldn't wear them. I prefer just having my sleeves cover my hands...maybe to cover up how small they are...I dunno. Winter sucks...
I came home early today 'cause I began having dizzy spells in geometry and decided to play it safe. I'll lose hours for costumes and I won't finish the sleeves/cuffs but that can wait...not too long but it can for now. Anyway, when I came home Jamal, the guy who comes once a week to clean our house, was here. I talked with him for a bit and then went to the den to do some homework and listen to music. He finished and came in to talk some more. He asked me about my voice lessons that I take. I think he saw the note that has all of my lessons and times on it and was curious. I told him that I've taken it for almost four years but haven't participated in the concerts. Naturally, he asked why. I told him about my major shyNess and he insisted that I sing for him. I refused at first but he kept on asking. He even went into the other room and told me to close my eyes and just sing a verse of one song. I did quietly, eventually. He then wanted me to sing a little more with him actually in the room, to break me out of my shell. He stood there saying, "Come on, A!" and wouldn't leave until I sang a litte bit more. So I did and he was satisfied. He said that now each time he sees me he's going to make me do that so I can gain my confidence and then actually do a concert. It's really nice of him to do this. But, luckily for me, I'm not going to be here until about 5:30 (possibly 7) next Wednesday...or the Wednesday after that (because of Players), etc. Either way, nice guy.
Now I am off to go get some more tea.
