EDDIE FROM OHIO IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, now let's backtrack to Friday. Twas my party-type-thing. After many attempts to choose a movie we watched Dirty Dancing. I must say that Tim Curry in Rocky Horror is much more attractive (in a weird way) than Patric Swayze (sp?) in Dirty Dancing. He sweats so much!!! It was a good movie but my favourite thing about it is that Baby is played by the same woman who plays Jeannie in Ferris Bueler's Day Off . Now I know what that "Nobody puts Baby in the corner" line comes from, too.
Saturday: Design class. We learned how to draw croquios, or those really skinny alien people used in designing. Mina told us to think of them as people from another planet, it makes it easier to do it. I came home and did work and then at 6:20 Jeff and I went to The Point. Alex's (
pixie2828) dad is the BEST!!!! I called him before the show (well, I called for Alex but he answered and she was out so I asked him...) to make sure that Jeff could get into the show. When we got there we asked the door person about tickets for standing room and she asked if we had been the people to call and I said yes so Jeff got in with a standng room ticket a hour earlier than they are usually sold. He is a lucky boy. Anyway, we sat on the floor right by the stage next to Mira and Molly. Apparently at Folk Fest Molly had taped Eddie From Ohio's act, which is illegal, and they told her and then pulled her onstage so she could get better footage. That just proves how cool they are. And Robbie, one of the members, remembered her. I got two pictures. One of Molly, Mira and Mark (another band member) and the other of Mira, Molly and Robbie. We (Jeff and I) got the entire band to sign a CD for Brian (other brother currently in Israel) because at Folk Fest Bri had gotten one...then proceeded to lose his bag...and when he got it back it had everything BUT the CD. So we got Robbie to write, "Don't lose this one" on it. He had this Lex Luthor thing going on with his no hair. Julie (the main vocals) has such great energy on the stage! She was dancing around and just being awesome. Eddie, the man from which they get their namesake, played the drums and bongos and some other really fancy drum that I can't remember the name of right now. He is so cool! He had this solo and it was so amazing!!! Ah! I am still uberly excited that I got to see them slash talk to some of them. And they made many many jokes about Fiddler on the Roof. At one point they sang a part of If I were a Rich Man and Match Maker but Match Maker was sung doing a Bob Dylan voice. Very funny!
Sunday: Currently doing work and preparing for England and doing homework. We are just cool like that and procrastinate...
Oh, and some bad new England style for Alex (
thefunkypig) and Klo. Our flight on the 18th is leaving way earlier than we thought so the only day we could meet ya'll is the Wednesday. We'll probably have our phone # for England tomorrow/ on Tuesday so I'll email it to you guys or just post it on here or the MB...but check your email.
