Jul. 1st, 2004 03:22 pmThis week is almost over!!! It feels really weird to be in school, though, when no one else really is and the people that are mostly go to another highschool. Mr. Schanne is a nice guy but is using the textbook which makes him lose points as a teacher. Of course, he did let us launch water balloons at him...not that anyone actually hit him. And he has really cool demos and makes references to things we'll understand to explain physics. For instance, Superman. He was explaining how in Superman 3 they trapped Superman in a bubble and the reason Superman couldn't break out of it at first was because he tried to hit it to break it and the bubble just stretched as a reaction. It could not "hit" Superman back with the same force so it lessened it by stretching. Of course, the evil guys didn't think about Superman's laser-eye stuff. I, for one, really liked this explanation. He also has TONS of toys he uses in his demos. Today he used helicopter, airplane and rocket toys to explain Newton's third law. And the classroom has a Jesus nightlight (it isn't on). I don't know why, it just does. It amuses me greatly. Physics is okay, even if we have, like, 3 hours of homework each night...and a test and quiz everyday...yup, it's okay. I, so far, have a 93 %- that's an 'A'. I expect to have a low 'B' by the end of the summer school year.
Tonight I'm going to walk over to Luciano's to have dinner with some friends. I haven't seen them for a while so it's going to be really nice. I miss them so much! *does a happy dance*
Caitlin L. is going to be a big sister (again) soon!!!! Yay for her! She's really excited and it's so cute! I'm excited for her.
