Aug. 2nd, 2004 01:48 pmI read briefly that the little girl who began the lemonade stands for cancer research has died. Her name was Alexandra Scott. She passed peacefully with her parents in her house. Her condition had deteriorated and the parents knew that it was nearing the end and brought her home. She lived to be 8 and will always be remembered.
One of the things that strikes me the most is that she was a Main Line-er. She actually lived in the same neighbourhood as I do. And I never saw her. I do remember passing lemonade stands once in a while but never hers. Maybe I was just walking the wrong way...
On a brighter note, my across-the-street-neighbours have had their baby! The baby is a healthy boy named Jesse. His bris is, actually, right now. I was half tempted to just go over and congratulate them but this is for family and close friends, not your moderately-okay-friend-neighbour to go to. Plus, I haven't been feeling my best and may be sick. Don't wanna infect the baby.
Must go do homework stuffs now.
