After a rude awakening to the Sluts of Trust blasting from my alarm (rather than the much quieter setting I thought I'd had it on) I was off to school. Dressed in my 'Tartan Terrors' tank top I entered the building with great dreading. With the new 700 freshman coming into the already congested school the hallways were even more crowded. Not to mention the ugly-ass room they put in the middle of the hallway taking up so much room that going through that area next to it makes one claustrophobic. Whomever decided to build there really didn't understand the magnitude of students that were forced to make their way through those halls.

Arriving around the auditorium lobby I waited for various friends to show up and greeted them enthusiastically- or as enthusiastically as one can manage that early in the morning. I'm not a morning person but when I have to wake up I do. We hung out until the bell for homeroom, which was an hour long because we obviously do not know how to organize ourselves within a shorter amount of time. Just like last year, my homeroom teacher did not assign us the correct lockers and our entire class was forced to go down the hallway trying their combination on various lockers. Also, like last year, I will not be able to use my locker because there is just no point in it.

First period consisted of helping some freshman find their ways around because I had a free and nothing to do. Jin and I hung around the courtyard for the rest of the period and talked in our half-asleep way. Second period was Latin. Ben and Hallie have that class, which made me very happy. I will have friends in it, one of which already knows some Latin. After that class I had textiles and clothing. I'm very excited for this course and the teacher is amazing! She's so nice. Plus, Angela Hu is in it with me. Oh, we shall have fun. Fourth was U.S. History. It sounds like it will be boring with few interesting days. Tomorrow I don't have so I may just leave the homework for tomorrow night... I did not have theatre arts today so I don't know what to expect from that teacher. For math I'll do what I did last year, just get all of the homework done, take notes and I'll do an alright job. English should be enjoyable. My teacher is allegedly very easy to please and seems very nice. I spoke to her after class just to double check that the books I read over the summer (which weren't on the reading list) were alright with her. They did fit the criteria and I could justify the hell out of 'em. Of course, now she probably thinks that I have a thing for kilts (see: shirt worn) and sci-fi. While this is true, there is no reason that my English teacher should know it.

Tomorrow I'll experience gym and theatre arts. We'll see if I can get to math ontime or not from theatre arts...
