Feb. 28th, 2005 05:52 pmLast night the entire family-well, Bri was back at Penn so 4/5 members- stayed up till midnight to watch the Oscars. We've never actually done that before. Last year I think I stayed up just long enough to watch Lord of the Rings win all 11 of the Oscars it had been nominted for but then lost interest and went to bed. So yes, new experience. Kinda nice, really.
Didn't like some dresses. Loved Cate Blanchet's because she is teh awesome and can look good in pretty much anything. Emmy Rossum needs to eat a donut. As does Kirsten Dunst, Natalie Portman (love her but feel she could stand to gain weight), Renee Zellwigger (sp?)...except she needs to eat about twenty. She looks better a chubbier, in my opinion. Drew Barrymore was essentially the only actress there with a pretty normal body-type.
Today was a half day. Also a nice thing to have. Two classes! W00t!!! Talked to the counselor about college. Apparently NYU is a "reach"...fscking hell. I have a high-ish GPA! I will do moderately well on SATs (though I don't want to take a practice test in just one sitting...but that means nothing)! I have extracurriculars (in and outside of school)! Why not pick me? But, on the other hand, I'm apparenlty a shoe-in for other good schools. Of course, they are not NYU. Again, on the other hand, I have not looked at them and do not know if I want to go there or not yet...I just know that I liked NYU and would not mind going to college there at all. I hate big decisions like this. Gah!
I'm trying to think of the song which include the lyrics: "...girl with mousy brown hair...". I cannot remember where it is from. Help?
I feel very cute wearing my hair in pigtail-braids and my crocheted hat. I feel I should mention that...
Oh, and I spent the past three hours watching the last DVD of my RotK:EE set. Ngila makes me want to be a costume designer/maker/etc. Amazing woman.
