Orientation: Day 1
Aug. 19th, 2006 08:44 pmI'm at Pratt, now. In about twenty minutes they'll be showing "Back to the Future" on the main field. I'm going to meet up with some people I met at accepted students day, hopefully, and watch with them. But it's raining so I don't know if it's still going on. I hope it is.
My roommate isn't here yet. But she's a senior so it was doubtful that she would show up until next week. What's surprising is that my suitemates aren't here yet. I don't know what's up with that. They should be here. So I have a room and bathroom to myself for the moment. I do wish they were here, though. Making friends is easier when you do it with the people who live near you. My floor seems to have pretty cool people. One of them gave an open invitation to going around Brooklyn with one of her friends and seeing what is to be seen. It sounds cool so maybe I'll go. Gotta tell her sometime. I'll see if it's still a free-for-all later.
So, right now I'm kiling time until 9. And my student ID picture sucks. And I wish the people I knew were in my dorm. But they're in Stabile. God, I'm tired. Moving in is really, really exhausting. Especially if you suck at packing like my family. Tons of tiny boxes. We are so doing suit cases next time.
Ten minutes left.
