Aug. 29th, 2006 10:54 pmBri came to visit me today. He only stayed for a little because he's Mr. Popularity and had other people to see in NY. We went to lunch at the Pratt Coffee Shop, which is actually quite cheap and the food is good. It was nice to just hang out and he got a chance to see my dorm. If I had a camera, I'd take pictures of it to show off but there really isn't much to see. I've put up the cork board so it won't fall down again and the Chinese lantern christmas lights are up. I need posters. Luckily tomorrow is the poster sale.
Today was a really short day-- only one three hour class (it's funny that's considered short) and it was 4D. The assignment we were given is to make a visual representation of a timeline of significant times in our life. It's very open ended so that makes it slightly more difficult...other than trying to think up "significant events," that is. I listed a few today while hanging out with Laura K. Bri also helped me a little during lunch.
Tomorrow I have drawing and English. I hope I get the teacher who decided to start with models right away instead of the one who made you do your hand over and over again. That sounds dull. Especially for six hours.
I'm sort of getting the hang of this college thing. It actually reminds me of high school in some ways. Except my high school friends arent' here. I miss them. I keep meaning to email them but forget. Maybe ya'll should email me *hint hint* to make life easier. I don't want to be so out of the loop (which I'm realizing I definitely am). I'll try harder to keep in touch. I promise.
