Oct. 5th, 2006 06:47 pmFor some weird reason my LCD (Light, Colour, Design) teacher, who sounds vaguely like the boss from Office Space (he even said "That's great" today in the same exact way the boss does!), really likes me. He likes all of us that this one table, actually, but he jokes around with Nicole and me the most. We tease him because it's so easy and tends to go right over his head. He also spoke in rhyme today, which prompted me to make a Dr. Seuess reference. He was amused. And while most people at our table don't like his teaching style and feel like our IQs have dropped after class, he still likes us a lot. We don't know why.
Speaking of that class, it was actually quite fun today since we were doing painting and not Colour Aid stuff, which is the most evil creation ever. It's extremely expensive paper that we are required to buy in order to learn about colour. We also make collages with it. It smells and gives you headaches. Toxic stuff. Anyway, class was painting today. We had fun conversations at my table. One of them led to talking about how Spencer's Gifts is now essentially a sex toy shop and the last time we'd been there. I began telling them the story of when I was last there...We were buying a dildo for my friend Rory's 18th birthday. And, of course, the room was entirely silent when I said this, to which Melissa responded, "Could you say that any louder, Adrienne?" Laughter ensued. The conversations we have during this class are the highlight of my day. They are hilarious, weird and utterly random. I love it. It reminds me of when I get to see my friends from home. It's not quite as out there as the conversations we have but still very fun and comforting. It's good to know that there are people who go here who have a sense of humour similar to mine.
I can't wait until RenFaire this weekend!! I'm not sure if I'll dress up all the way but I'm bringing my corset with just in case. Not that I have a dress to go with it, anyway. Either way, EXCITED!
Almost the end of the week...
