Dec. 3rd, 2006 10:43 pmKaraoke is awesome! I don't care that I spent the whole weekend not doing homework that I really should have been doing. It was worth it! So.much.fun!!
A bunch of us went into Manhattan to a really cool Japanese Karaoke bar where we got a private room. I went with Jen to the Korean market nearby so we could pick up some snack. We also stopped at Duane Reade because I wanted some non-asian snacks, too. We arrived to hear our friends singing random J-Pop (Japanese pop music) stuff. In fact, there was a lot of J-Pop. Eventually Hunter (the only boy) and I pretty much vetoed it. It's fun but annoying after a while. We also sang random US pop. Caitlin will be glad to know that I totally sang "Liquid Dreams" by O-Town. We also did some Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys. I sang "Possession" and "Building a Mystery" by Sarah McLachlan and Erica, Laura and Jen did random backup for me. It threw me off sometimes but was awesome! We rock at improv. I'm totally a karaoke convert. I wanna do it again!!!
On the downside, I have a shitload of work to do and have yet to do any of it. I started some things but know I won't do anything else tonight. I'm lazy like that and think my weekends should involve relaxing, not working. So this week I have to do it. Fun. Except not. And I still need to pick up the stuff from Alan.
For some reason it sounds like the people above me are moving stuff around...weird.
