Jan. 5th, 2009 06:47 pmI baked a cake from scratch today...it proceeded to rise like no other in the oven and explode a little. Then it sort of imploded when I took it out to cool. It tastes freakin' awesome, though. And really, that's all that matters. Next job: Make buttercream icing from scratch.
In Which Adri Reminisces About Her Favorite Car Insurance Commercial Ever:
It was a Safe Auto commercial. There was this geeky looking dude in a suit complete with bow tie, bad hair and glasses. He stands in a white room, telling us about Safe Auto's minimum coverage when some hot chick walks by, winks at him and walks off screen. His eyes follow her and then we see various articles of clothing being thrown at him while he stammers about insurance. Now THAT is effective advertising people. And it was HILARIOUS!
