My cousin called during LOST. I felt really bad because it's her birthday and I couldn't have a real conversation with her (but I think she was watching, too, because she was just as distracted as me). Anyway, she and her sister (their twins) are coming to St. Jo's for a speech competition. They're hardcore. Hopefully I'll get to see them. Stupid Gala and it's interfering with familial bonding time. She said to tell everyone in the BC area that if you see a bunch of kids walking around awkwardly in suits it's because of this speech thing.
I finished it! It's not exactly like the painting (well, duh! It never was gonna be a freakin' duplicate) but I think it looks damn good. Plus it's funny. Unfortunately, I couldn't find my Barbie cups or more Barbie plates. I had to use my MINI-tea set as filler. But I did find a shitload of Barbie cutlery. I had forgotten that they even made it.
And now I present:

This is the original:

Yup...not exact at all. But I worked hard so this is me not caring that they aren't perfect matches.
If you're uber religious and offended by this in any way, I'm sorry. It was not my intention to offend anyone. I just came up with an idea that fulfilled the project's requirements: to form a postmodern response to a traditional piece of work. I don't have much meaning behind it. If anything we can say that it is my way of expressing my frustration with people taking religion so seriously and their willingness to kill to prove that their beliefs are "right". With that said, don't be offended. Plus, Jesus was a pretty chill guy. I bet he'd get a kick out of this.
P.S. LOST was pretty good. But I'm still not a fan of Ana Lucia. OMGBOONE'SVOICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
