You can find the announcement here.
-Who the hell is that guy?
-Sadly not the Marquis De Carabas.
-I'm still sleepy... (okay this might not count so much as a reaction but I did think it)
-His hair reminds me a little of Christian on Project Runway...
-Since the Doctor will be even younger now, maybe they'll dress him in hipster gear. Ironic t-shirts EVERYWHERE!
-Still kind of sad Paterson Joseph didn't get it.
-We'll see what happens. I haven't even watched the Christmas Special yet. I hear it was meh. No spoilers please.
-I think that the first series of the New Who was their most consistently written. Hopefully the Moff will a) progress the overall arc at a rate that makes sense and b) keep characters consistently written. My pet peeves of writing involve a story that moves too slowly/quickly for it to seem a natural progression and when they keep changing the characters' personality and behavior without explanation (see: every single episode of Smallville). I can suspend belief for aliens and whatnot but if your leads keep changin' on me without proper motivation, I will be quite miffed and put out. And then I might read a fanfic where they fix your screw up. As long as it is also well written.
