Passover. What can I say about this holiday? Well, quite a lot, actually. I dislike it. Well, some aspects. Mostly those keeping me from eating noodles. And hoagies. And muffins. Especially muffins.
Somewhere along the line, I think we screwed up how we were supposed to celebrate the holiday. God wouldn't want us to deny ourselves good foods like cookies or bagels. We should appreciate those foods even more this time of year instead of shunning them for eight days.
I realize that I'm probably going to hear counter arguments stating that by not eating these foods we appreciate them more...I'm also going to ignore them.
Passover is about remembering what happened, not exactly reexperiencing it. Instead of following a strict version of telling the story that the Hagadah provides, we should discuss the story. Through telling the story we can attempt to understand how they felt and find insights. We can find some moral and maybe take a new look at our lives. But this food thing, I don't feel that it makes it any more "real".
On the bright side, I now have Stargate: Atlantis entire first season on my computer! Yay for
jdcohen!!!!! I loff my brother. And Bri says he'll finally get me Buffy seasons 1-3 (I can wait for 4-5)! Double yay!
Now must set table for tonights sedar.

RE:Prom Dress
I won the bid for the third option (the blue/purple one) and have purchased a black version that is smaller of the fourth option (corset one). I loved it too much to give it up. Now I have three dresses to choose from, two of which when their price is added together don't even equal that of the one my mother loves. I'm pro-returning it and keeping the cheaper ones that I love. So, yay! There's plenty of time for them to get here, I think, so I'll hopefully be wearing the corset one to prom.
