I'm no longer a nomad. I'm staying at home with a family friend until the parents return. It was nice at the Strongs and the bed was comfortable but nothing is better than one's own bed. Yay!
I had a dream that James Marsters was our model for figure drawing. I couldn't really look at him though because every time I did I saw his character Spike from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and wondered why he was modeling for a pre-college program versus acting in movies or other television shows. It was odd.
Am watching "Hooking Up" with Linda. People are really weird.
ETA: Whilst speaking with
cellobugkt we have discovered a very important thing about life that we wish to share with our lurvely friends...
To summarize:
Me: Did you know that paintings of lemons sell really well?
KT: No. I wonder why.
Me: I dunno. My figure drawing teacher told us about how he earned money one summer by just painting still lives of lemons.
KT: Wow... that's amusing. and a good career tip. If you're ever down on your luck, paint a lemon. I feel like there should be some phrase about lemonade in there...
Me: When life gives you lemons, paint a still life of 'em and sell it for cash to buy food. Like cake.
KT: MMM. Cake.
Me: Cake vs Lemons. I'd go with the former.
KT: That's a life quote right there. Hmm...lemons have their usefulness but Cake tastes better.
Me: The things we learn...
KT: Indeed
