I just rewatched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. There are some movies that you need to keep rewatching in order to appreciate them and I think this is one of them. I love it. At the same time I wonder how the guy who wrote it came up with the idea. I mean, how does anyone come up with these really crazy ideas and then figure out how to communicate them? It's amazing. This is why I'm not going to be a writer. I don't think I could ever do that. I can't even do that with drawing. Man, I'm going to be so very screwed when I get to college. I don't understand how people can be so completely shameless. I envy those who are. It's our various fears that keep us in check. It'd be awesome to just ignore them all but I don't know how...

This is getting a little too deep for me at the moment. I think I'm going to get another cup of tea or something to soothe my throat. It hurts like a bitch. I'd better not be getting sick.

Have you seen Being John Malkovitch? Man, that is even MORE mind-bogling. You just don't know whether to be amazed or confused.

And you'd be surprised how many great ideas come out the woodwork of your brain when you're stoned and just really tired and let your mind wander and your mouth blabber.

I have. I remember really liking it, too. The part that I can still remember quite clearly is when John went into his own mind. That was trippy.

Yeah I love it too. And I know what you mean about having to watch it several times to appreciate its complexity. It was the same deal with Donnie Darko for me. Although I still kinda don't really get that one. *grin*

Only watched that one once. I have it in my DVD collection but have yet to rewatch it. Mainly because the bunny scared me very muchly. I'll have to check that one out again sometime. Perhaps over Spring Break.
