My room at home is messy. Not diry, messy. Clothes on the floor messy, not half-eaten food or whatever. There is absoultely NO reason for bugs to be in my room. And yet today is the second time since I've been back that I have had one of those many legged-fuzzy bug things that move really, really fucking quickly. What the fuck are they?? And why are they invading MY room? If any of you know what the hell this bug is, please do share. I want to prevent them from bothering me ever again. Luckily for today, my brother was kind enough to get rid of it for me. However, I doubt the family will be so inclined to help next time. They blame my messy room. I don't think that's a factor but I could be wrong. So, please help me find out what the hell these creepy crawlies are so I can get rid of them more effectively.

it's the heat...do you have a light in your room?

there's no reason for bugs in my room, but they are attracted to my lights.

Yeah, but I turn them off whenI'm not in the room and that's when they appear.

They're a type of centipede. I get them in my apartment in the summertime too, and it has nothing to do with being dirty OR cluttered. I researched them last summer... apparently they breed in wet areas, so if there's any sort of wet area near your house you may want to do something to dry it up if possible. For example, the drain pipe for the air conditioning unit was clogged last summer and the amount of centipedes in my apartment was ridiculous. They fixed the pipe and, while they aren't completely gone, I only see one occasionally as opposed to several a day.

It's been raining a lot and my room is right near a tree. I don't know if these would add to it.

UGH, I get those too! I know exactly which kind you mean. Whenever I get them, I usually find them in the bathroom, because as Molassesturtle said, they breed at wet areas of the house. However, they do like to move around and hide under clothing and things, as I discovered last summer to my occasional horror. I know it's a bitch but you just have to leave no room for them to hide. I actually need to clean my room as well....hopefully I won't find any of those little buggers in my room....and good luck with your room! >.< Missing you guys lots, btw. I keep saying "Adrienne" when talking to my friend Emily, and I was telling her about our escapades a couple days ago. Good times.

Okay, here's what you do if you don't want to deal with them at the moment. You get a cup (a glass one so you know where they are, or something else clear), trap 'em under there, and get a postcard underneath. Make sure to bring the postcard with you. It doesn't work so well when you've forgotten it on the other side of the room. Then just put it somewhere for your roommate/parents to deal with so you can sleep because you were up until 4 am waiting for it to get close enough on the wall so you could trap it because you just can't sleep when there's a huge spider in the room, dammit!! *deep breaths* Anyway. Stupid creepy crawly bugs.

This one was taken care of earlier. Lots or Raid was used...I may sleep in Jeff's bed because Raid is not something you want to inhale all night long. I'll decide that part later.

Last post you mentioned these I suggested they were house centipedes. Did you look those up? They are light brown and their legs are kinda feathery-looking. (fuzzy?) They also are fast mofos and I've seen ones as big as my palm. There isn't much you can do about them, besides live in a bubble. :/
PS: I've seen a shitload of them in Stabile.

I'm sadly too chicken to look them up...even a picture freaks me out. But I will probably check it out now because I really want them gone.
