Mar. 13th, 2007 12:15 amIf I had to give today a grade it would be a B+. Most of it was awesome except for that small part which knocks it down a letter grade that I'm not going to talk about since it was not a fun experience and the only reason I'm still sane is that Roo was there to literally hold my hand. Despite that one part, today rocked.
I went to the JCC to drop off food at the Mitzvah Pantry for my mother and decided to try to get into my elementary school (it's connected to the JCC). When I pushed the buzzer no one answered so I figured that I wouldn't get in and went back to the car. As I was pulling out of my spot I saw Wendy. Now, when I went there Wendy was our gym teacher. Now she is the principal and a damn good one at that. I stopped and talked to her for a bit and asked if I could check out the school. Obviously, she said yes. I went in and waited in the office until they confirmed that I had permission and then made my way to the library where I took a few pictures (it's a beatiful library...used to be a chapel but it's a Jewish school so they've changed it around a lot in the last few years, much of what I used to love about it has been painted over because it was very "churchy"). On my way out I decided to go see if my old fifth grade teacher was still there. I asked around and found out she was.
( The visit and the rest of the day )
